Hosted by Pamukkale University and supported by the Flora Research Society and Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden, the 4th International Congress on Plant Biology (IConPb2025) was held in Denizli, a city renowned for its white travertines and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Bringing together researchers working in various fields of plant science, this congress provided a platform for sharing recent scientific developments in plant systematics, anatomy, physiology, ecology, conservation biology, medicinal and economic plants, and plant cultivation.
The Conference Proceedings Book contains the abstracts of the papers presented during IConPb2025 and has been published as open access, aiming to strengthen scientific communication and contribute to future research.

Pamukkale University – Flora Research Society – Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden
The dream of Turkish researchers to author their own flora is coming to life through the
Illustrated Flora of Türkiye Project, under the auspices of the Presidency.
This project has been realized through the collaboration of the Ali Nihat Gökyiğit Foundation, the Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden,
and the Flora Research Association.
As the first flora book written in our own language, the work also represents a rare journey worldwide by including original illustrations of Türkiye’s plants.
With approximately 11,000 plant species, Türkiye harbors within its borders a biological diversity almost equivalent to the entire flora of Europe.
The Illustrated Flora of Türkiye continues to progress with the contributions of a volunteer army of botanists and scientific plant illustrators united
to record this unique richness.
Within this framework, 48 works prepared by different illustrators for Volumes III and IV of the Illustrated Flora of Türkiye have been presented
to esteemed researchers and the public under the title “Exhibition of Volumes III and IV of the Illustrated Flora of Türkiye”.

The “4th International Congress on Plant Biology, IconPb2025” will be held in
2025 in Denizli, Turkey, famous for its white travertines, which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The event is organized by Pamukkale University, with support
from the Flora Research Association and the Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden.
The exploration of plant resources on Earth, their recognition, and their utilization for the benefit of humanity are extremely important. Such scientific
activities are invaluable in uncovering the unknown properties of plants and making them usable. This congress aims to bring together experts in the field,
discuss scientific research, provide a networking environment for young scientists, and share scientific data.
Denizli, located in the Aegean Region of Turkey, is a city renowned for the Pamukkale travertines, which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site,
as well as for its textile industry and ancient settlements. As one of the most important centers of plant biodiversity in Turkey, Denizli is especially
significant for systematic botanists due to its unique mountain ranges, making it a frequently visited location for botany research.
The congress is planned to host global discussion topics under the theme of Plant Biology. In this context, the congress topics will cover various areas
of Plant Biology, including Plant Systematics, Plant Anatomy, Plant Physiology, Plant Ecology, Plant Protection Biology, Medicinal and Economic Plants,
and Plant Cultivation.
We would be honored to have you join us at the congress, which will be organized in collaboration with the Department of Biology at Pamukkale University,

It is mandatory to include the full name in the description when making payment for the registration fee.
Participants who are employed in public or private institutions and organizations and are continuing their graduate studies (Research Assistants, Lecturers, and other professional groups) will not be subject to the student fee.
Note:
No refunds will be made for registration fees.
Full-time students are required to prove their student status during registration and payment by submitting the necessary documents (copy of student ID, letter from the institution or program director) via email or fax.
